On Tuesday, December 13th I am running to be re-elected as Commissioner of The East Northport Fire District. After serious thought and consideration, I strongly believe that I have successfully carried out the duties and obligations of this position and wish to continue to do so. My decision to run for a 2nd term is based upon a strong familiarity of the fire service; as well as a dedication and commitment to serving the members of our Department and citizens of our community.
I have served our Department proudly for 33 years. During this time I’ve had the honor of rising through the ranks of Line Officer and the privilege of serving as Chief of the Department in 2001 and 2002. I have lived in East Northport for 60 years. I graduated from Northport High School in 1973. I’ve been married for 40 years to my wife Patti and we have 3 children, Wayne Jr., Matthew & Erica.

I’ve worked most of my career in the asphalt paving business & construction where I developed solid management skills. I understand the needs of our community and as a taxpayer during these tough economic times, I truly understand the necessity of a balanced budget. Through perseverance and dedication, I promise to continue to provide our community with the best Fire and EMS protection available.
If re-elected, I will continue to make an advantageous impact on our community as a whole. We must constantly set new goals and have the ambition to achieve them.
