Local Firefighters Run In Cow Harbor Race
Five firefighters from the Northport, East Northport and Centerport Fire Departments participated in the event held last weekend.
Local volunteer firefighters representing the fire service participated in the Cow Harbor Race in Northport last weekend.
The five firefighters ran the entire 6.21 mile race wearing about 50 pounds of structural firefighting gear and self-contained breathing apparatus during the event held on Saturday.
The members of the local fire departments who completed the race include: firefighter/EMT Mike Gunther of the Centerport Fire Department, firefighter/EMT Dan Cross of the Northport Fire Department, Lieutenant Vinny Pastore, firefighter/EMT Jamie Conroy and firefighter Mike Ripple, all of the East Northport Fire Department (all pictured above from left to right).
