Man Robs Northport Stop & Shop Pharmacy: Police
A man demanded prescription medication and handed an employee a note indicating he had a weapon, police say.

NORTHPORT, NY — A man robbed a Stop & Shop pharmacy counter in Northport on Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
A man approached the pharmacy counter inside of Stop & Shop, at 454 Fort Salonga Road, and handed an employee a note indicating he had a weapon and demanded prescription medication, police said. The employee gave him the medicine, and the man ran out of the store around 12:30 p.m., police said.
Police described the man as either Hispanic or Middle Eastern and in his mid-to-late 30s. He is between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches tall and is heavy-set, wearing a black baseball hat, dark-colored shirt, jeans and white sneakers, police said.
