Man And Woman Steal Purse, Use Credit Cards: Suffolk Police

A man and woman stole a purse containing cash and credit cards and attempted to use the cards at multiple stores across the Island.

EAST NORTHPORT, NY–Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help to find the man and woman who tried using credit cards they stole in East Northport in May.

The pair stole a Louis Vuitton purse containing cash and credit cards from a shopping cart at the Stop & Shop located at 3126 Jericho Turnpike on May 10 around 10:50 a.m. The two then fled in a red SUV. Not long after, someone attempted to use the credit cards at Walmart in Farmingdale and a Sunoco in West Islip.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
