'Marvelous' Marco Is 'Spectacular': Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Marco, a 5-month-old boy, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.

He has shiny fur and a long tail that curves like a candy cane, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. He is equal parts marvelous and spectacular, she said.

"He is playful, silly, loving, and affectionate," Wild said. "All he wants is to be in the company of others, making friends wherever he is. He follows you around like a puppy and is just so gentle and kind, the moment you meet him you can not help but fall in love with him. Rescued with his two siblings, who have since been adopted together, Marco is looking for his happily ever after, too."

He is currently at Petco Commack, looking out of his habitat hoping for a chance.

"As a foster parent, I fall in love with all my foster kittens and cats, but sometimes one just touches your soul…Marco did that to me," Wild said. "I picked him up every chance I had and snuggled him to his delight. Marco is a very special kitten, and I hope he will get snatched up by a wonderful family and be in his home for the holidays."

Marco is neutered, has all his shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
