'So Special To So Many': Memorial Fund For LI Woman Killed By Car Backing Out
"In the blink of an eye, the love of my life and the devoted mother of our children was gone," her husband wrote.
NORTHPORT, NY — A memorial fund was created by the husband of Lisa Harmon Conway, a Northport wife and mother who was killed by a car backing out of a space on May 18.
Conway was struck by a 2021 Toyota Tundra backing out from a business on Fort Salonga Road. Northport and Suffolk police officers said there was no criminality involved, but the driver was cited for backing unsafely.
"In the blink of an eye, the love of my life and the devoted mother of our children was gone," her husband, Aidan Conway, wrote on GoFundMe, which has raised more than $9,200 as of Wednesday.

"Lisa was so special to so many," Aidan wrote. "My children have lost their mother, we have many challenging years ahead and are very grateful for the outpouring of support from our family, friends, schools, church and community."
Lisa's funeral was held at Our Lady Queen of Martyr's. The mass was "beautiful — just like Lisa," Aidan said.
"Rest in Peace my dear Lisa, I only wish that we had another 25 years together."
