Michelle Ma Belle, 'Most Loving Kitten': Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Michelle Ma Belle, an 8-month-old kitten, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.

Like the Beatles song, her name means "Michelle my beauty." She was born Aug. 15, 2023. All her siblings have since been adopted, but Michelle is still at the shelter, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.

"Michelle is such a cuddler, she has often been compared to your favorite 'neck scarf,' as she curls up around your shoulders and purrs nonstop," Wild said. "She is the sweetest and MOST loving kitten. She loves people, she LOVES other cats, and she even gets along with dogs!"

She greets people at the door after a long day and immediately asks for affection and snuggles, according to Wild.

"Every one of our volunteers who meets Michelle falls in love with her. If you are looking for a single kitty to add to your family, this is your girl! We would love for her to go to a home with a cat sibling or siblings too, since she is just so wonderful and silly with other cats."

Michelle is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
