'The MOST Affectionate' Beanie Is Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Beanie, a 5-month-old female kitten, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.

"Beanie’s life started off quite lonely!" said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "She was just a baby while trying to fend for herself behind a restaurant in Brentwood. She hid in some tall grass and would sneak into the fish garbage for some scraps. Luckily, a kind couple went to this restaurant often and would see her and decided to rescue her."

She was filthy and scared but so loving and grateful to finally be safe, according to Wild. Beanie was placed in foster care and never stopped thanking anyone who gave her love.

"She is the MOST affectionate little bean (thus her name)," Wild said. "She loves to be held, sleep in your lap and play with toys. She will melt in your arms and purr herself to sleep. She is ready for her forever home."

Beanie left foster care and is patiently waiting at Petco Commack for someone to come meet her and fall in love.

Beanie is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
