Music For a Spring Evening

Northport Symphony Orchestra Presents a Free Concert on May 8

The Northport Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Richard Hyman, will present a free concert on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 8:00 PM, featuring violinist Angela Wee, who will play the Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Camille Saint-Saens.  The Orchestra will also perform works by Sibelius, Rachmaninofff, and Gluck, as well as Symphony No. 40 by Mozart. 

Ms. Wee is currently a senior at Syosset HS.  She began her violin studies at the age of four.  At age ten, she entered the Juilliard Pre-College program, where she currently studies with Masao Kawasaki.  She won the 2011 Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition, and has participated in numerous international music competitions.  She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and many other venues both in the US and internationally.

The concert will take place at Northport High School, 154 Laure
