Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Angela
Angela, a 9-month-old tabby girl, has the "heart of a lion." You can start the adoption process today.

NORTHPORT, NY — Angela, a 9-month-old female tabby, was named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.
She was rescued off a construction site in Brooklyn and when she first came to Northport Cat Rescue and was frightened, said Lora Wild, a volunteer at the cat rescue. Her foster family, through patience and love, is teaching her to trust more and more each day. Angela was described as having the "heart of a lion" by Wild.
"She loves to hang out with her human friends and even the dog!," Wild said. "She cuddles and purrs and will let her foster mom pick her up and love her. Angela is also very smart and actually comes running when her name is called! She is still a bit nervous around new things, but she has come so far in such a short amount of time, proving once again that kindness can make even the biggest scaredy-cat come out of their shell and give back as much as she gets."

She is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV Negative.
With the new coronavirus keeping most people at home, Wild encouraged those seeking a new feline friend to add Angela to their family.

"Such uncertain and scary times, but be brave like Angela!!," she wrote in an email. "Now is the time we really need patience.....perhaps a perfect time to help a kitty that may need that? Stay at home if you can- enjoy that beautiful home you are so fortunate to have; and maybe just maybe you can find it in your heart to share your wonderful home with a new furry friend. Angela would love that!"
