Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Mario
Mario, a 4-month-old silver tabby, was on his own when his mom and siblings were scared away from an area. He is up for adoption.

NORTHPORT, NY — Mario, a 4-month-old male silver tabby, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.
When Mario’s mom and siblings were scared away from an area they were being fed and residing in, Mario somehow got left behind.
"He was found alone, scared, cold, and hungry," Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue, said. "Luckily a kind lady picked him up and brought him to NCRA. He went into foster care and we quickly realized what an affectionate mush this beautiful baby is."

Mario is loving, sweet, and very smart, according to Wild. He plays fetch with balls and likes to hide his favorite toys. He also loves to snuggle and give kisses. He is not afraid at all of the other cats he is being fostered with.
"He can be playful and frisky but is very well behaved," Wild said. "He enjoys a warm lap to watch TV and loves to be snuggled. Just when you think he is not around, you look down, and there he is curled up by your toes. He is a very special little boy winning the hearts of everyone he meets.

"We are looking for a loving home for Mario and would love to get him adopted straight from foster care so that he never has to know that feeling of being left behind again," Wild said.

Mario is neutered, has all his shots, is litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
If you are interested in meeting Mario, you can head to the Northport Cat Rescue Association website and fill out an application to let them know you would like to meet him or any of the other kittens and cats. You can also call NCRA at 631-606-2631 or email it at info@northportcatrescue.org.
