Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Patches

NORTHPORT, NY — Patches, a 6-month-old female muted gray and orange calico, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.

"When Patches was rescued from an outside colony to be trap and released with other cats, it was immediately clear she was too sweet and loving to go back outside," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "She would purr the moment you pet her and was far too comfortable to be in a person’s arms. Into foster care she went, and there she blossomed."

Patches is happy to be held while walking around, roll over for belly rubs and cuddle with people at night or anytime someone wants to snuggle her for a nap, according to Wild.

"Besides being so affectionate and gentle, she is a little firecracker, running around playing with toys, entertaining herself all day long," Wild said. "She is very vocal with her quiet and adorable voice and gets along wonderfully with other cats as well. She is simply perfect."

Patches is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.

Patches will be at Northport Cat Rescue Association's adoption event on Sunday, March 19, from noon to 4 p.m. at Petco Commack, at 30 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack. Come on down and meet her and all her friends too.
