Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Tiger
Tiger, a 10-month-old female tabby, was named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week. Here's how to adopt her.

NORTHPORT, NY — Tiger, a 10-month-old female tabby, was named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kitten of the Week.
She was called the sweetest kitten with the "cutest and silliest voice you have ever heard," by Lora Wild, a volunteer at the cat rescue.
Tiger was rescued by a family in Blue Point, along with her siblings, and brought to the Northport Cat Rescue Association to get her prepared for her forever home. All of Tiger's siblings have been adopted, however, and Tiger is still waiting for her family.

"She has come a long way in foster care," Wild told Patch via email. "Her first few days, she trembled with fear and could barely look in your eyes. Slowly, she started to trust, and everyone realized she is a kind little soul; she gets along with other cats and even dogs both big and small. Once, her foster friend was stuck in a room with the door closed and she sat outside the door mewing until her humans helped her friend out!!"
Tiger was described as a "loyal" kitten who loves to play and race around after her other feline friends. She knows her name and comes running when she is called.

"Once she trusts you, her favorite thing to do is be pet and loved and will curl up," Wild said. "She is a purring machine. She is a special little girl and deserves a home to be cherished in."
She is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV Negative.
The rescue is not doing face-to-face meetings with interested families until the coronavirus passes, but it's taking adoption applications to begin the process. Personal information won't be shared, Wild said.
To meet Tiger or any of the association's other kittens and cats, head to its Northport Cat Rescue website and fill out an application to let them know you'd like to meet her or any other cats. You can also fax an application to 631-651-5597 or call NCRA at 631-606-2631.
