NORTHPORT, NY — Betty, Bam Bam and Dino, 3-and-a-half-month-old siblings, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

"Rescued from a yard full of strays, they came to us frightened, unkept and ill," Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue, said. "At only 1 month old, trying to fend for themselves, they were rescued just in time. After being treated by our vet, they were placed into a loving foster home where they thrived."

Brothers Bam Bam and Dino are the more outgoing of the siblings, Wild said. They both love to play, and when you pet them or pick them up, they instantly purr. Dino loves to explore and will lovingly nibble one's toes when given an opportunity and then curl up in one's lap for naptime.

Betty is timider than her brothers but just as sweet, according to Wild.

"She loves playing and cuddling with her brothers and we believe they look out for their sister," Wild said. "All three have very relaxed personalities and love attention, being held and are extremely affectionate."

They were fostered with other cats and all got along, Wild said.

"They have come so far from the first day we met them, covered in filth," Wild said. "They blossomed into beautiful kittens that everyone falls in love with as soon as you meet them."

These three are neutered or spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
