NORTHPORT, NY — Cami and Tara, a pair of 1-year-old sisters, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

Cami is a calico tabby with beautiful markings while Tara is a tabby with big green eyes.

"Sadly, Cami and Tara’s mom passed away and they were let out of the only home they ever knew to fend for themselves," Lora Wild, a volunteer with the cat rescue, said. "Luckily some kind neighbors kept them safe and called us for help. They are sweet, playful, and affectionate. They have been through a lot these past few months, but as frightened as they may have been, they have always remained gracious. It is as if they know they need to take this journey to find their happily ever after."

They are looking to find their forever home together.

"After all, they have hearts and souls and personalities; their home was everything to them. Wouldn’t it be nice to have them 'home' for the holidays?" Wild said.
