Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Cuddles, Mittens, And Biscuit
The polydactyl brothers were born outside and sheltered before they were brought to the rescue. Would you like to meet them?

NORTHPORT, NY — Cuddles, Mittens, and Biscuit, three orange tabby brothers around 10 months old, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.
The brothers are polydactyl kittens, born with more than the usual number of toes on their paws. They were born outside, so a woman brought them into her home. She found them sweet and asked the cat rescue for help, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.
"Now they are ready for their happily ever after," Wild said. "We would love for all three of these brothers to be adopted together, but we know that is a tall order."

Biscuit is the timid one of the trio, so the rescue wants him to remain with his brother, Cuddles, who is the most outgoing.
Cuddles loves pets and affection so much and is very vocal about it, Wild said. He makes a sound referred to as trilling, which cats do as a friendly and welcoming greeting when they want attention. Biscuit will play with his brothers but will need patience and love before he shows how amazing he is, Wild said. Mittens, with his mitten paws, is playful and loves to hang out with all the other cats in his foster home. All three will even socialize with the dog. Once Mittens is comfortable, he is very sweet and loving as well, according to Wild.

"These brothers are beautiful, playful and a joy to watch," Wild said. "They are big boys, and their paws are nothing short of hysterical, flopping around on the ground like ski mittens. They can entertain themselves for hours, and then nap hard and peaceful and look like little angels. They will bring joy to any family that is lucky enough to adopt them."
They are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
