Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Ed & Elton

NORTHPORT, NY — Ed and Elton, 3-month-old brothers, were named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

Ed and Elton were found outside at just a few weeks old, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. They went into foster care and have thrived ever since.

"These two babies have acclimated to every situation they have ever been in," Wild told Patch in an email. "NCRA at times needs to move our kittens around according to their needs, but no matter where Ed and Elton were placed they thrived. They absolutely love each other and are very bonded."

Ed is the more outgoing of the pair, but Elton is tough as long as his brother is nearby, according to Wild. They love playing with anything and everything.

"They eat like there is no tomorrow and the moment you pick them up they start to purr," Wild said. "They also get along with other cats and are even getting used to dogs in foster care. When you sit on the couch they climb up to sit with you. Where there is Ed, there is Elton, always looking for each other and out for each other. They must stay together, and we are hoping they can find their forever home soon, so that they are finally settled, safe, sound and loved for always."

The Northport Cat Rescue Association will be joining Greenlawn Animal Hospital at 47 Broadway in Greenlawn, for Greenlawn Summer Nights on Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

"Ed and Elton will both be there!" Wild said. "Come on down and meet them to see just how adorable and perfect they are."

Ed and Elton are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
