Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Lucy and Ethel

NORTHPORT, NY — Lucy and Ethel, a pair of 7-month-old bonded sisters, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

Lucy and Ethel were born outdoors in a commercial lot where they depended on local feeders to keep them alive, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the cat rescue. The kittens were so friendly, the feeders reached out to the rescue for help.

"They are two of the gentlest kittens you will ever meet," Wild said.

Lucy is grey and white with angel wings. She is very sweet and absolutely loves to play, according to Wild.

"She will hog all the toys but has such a kind and silly spirit," she said. "She loves her sister and will welcome her to join in on the fun."

She loves treats and will lay by one's side while munching on them, Wild said.

Ethel is all grey, with soft, Russian-Blue like fur.

"This sweet baby will choose pets over treats any day of the week," Wild said. "She will literally throw herself on the ground and roll over for belly pets. She is extremely affectionate and purrs easily."

She is very mellow but not lazy. Ethel watches Lucy play before she decides to join in.

"These sisters are so ready for a forever home and are patiently waiting in our habitats, snuggled together at Petco Huntington, please visit them!" Wild said.

Lucy and Ethel are spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
