Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Marisol, Juan And Alberto

NORTHPORT, NY — Marisol, a 10-month-old female kitten, and her two sons, Juan and Alberto, who are 6 months old, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

"How is this beautiful family still waiting?" Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue, said.

Wild said she does not understand why Juan and Alberto have not been adopted yet and are spending their kittenhood in cages.

"Affectionate, playful, sweet with the cutest faces ever," Wild said. "Juan with his adorable little freckle, is a big mush and is a polydactyl kitten. Alberto is very vocal and has the cutest smudge on his nose that almost looks like a heart. How appropriate because they will steal your hearts. Everyday they stare out their habitats, waiting for someone to notice them."

Marisol was just a kitten herself when she became their mom.

"As young as she was, she fiercely protected her boys, standing up to the outdoor elements, and keeping them safe, fed and loved," Wild said. "She taught her boys to trust and loves to play with them or sit back and watch them roll around and wrestle. She too has been in the habitats way longer than expected, as she is not only beautiful but the most loving and affectionate kitten ever. It is time for someone to take care of Marisol and let her finally enjoy her kittenhood too."

The kittens are currently at Petco Commack.

"If you visit, they will come up to the window and ask you to take them home!" Wild said. "We would love for them all to grow up together, but with the right family, Marisol can be adopted on her own, but her boys need to stay together."

They are all spayed or neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
