Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Nicky And Quinn

NORTHPORT, NY — Nicky and Quinn, a pair of 4-month-old female kittens, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

"Nicky is this tiny little peanut who just wants to curl up in your arms and find a warm spot to cuddle," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "She is sweet and playful and absolutely adorable."

Nicky was fostered with older cats and her two brothers, and she got along with them all, according to Wild.

"When her brothers were adopted, she needed some extra hugs to let her know she is still loved," Wild said. "She is a very special little munchkin, and if you are looking for a snuggle bunny, Nicky is your girl."

Quinn is a tabby and calico mix. She was fostered with other kittens, and because she was a little bit older than them, she started to take care of them.

"She was so caring and gentle with them, even though she is just a kitten herself," Wild said. "She is also great around older cats and even dogs. She is very sweet and is extremely playful. She will play with anyone who is willing until she tires out. She is just a sweet soul and quite pretty too."

Nicky and Quinn were at the rescue's Home for the Holidays adoption event, and although they put on their best adoption day smiles, they were the only two kittens left, Wild said.

"We sure do hope we get these girls a home soon," she said. "In rescue, we tell all of our kittens and cats, that those who wait the longest always get the best homes, and so they wait with hope. They would be wonderful additions to anyone’s home."

Both are spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
