Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Shrimp & Sardine

NORTHPORT, NY — Shrimp and Sardine, a pair of male kittens who are around 10-months-old, were named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week. They are a bonded duo and love each other very much, Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, told Patch.

"They were rescued by a nice man who owned a fish market along with their four brothers and sisters....thus the adorable fishy names!!," Wild said.

Shrimp and Sardine should be adopted into the same home where they can grow up with each other, Wild said.

"Shrimp is a handsome silky black kitty with a quiet soul and a huge heart and loves to be pet," she said. "While Sardine, a tuxedo kitty, is so sweet and playful as can be! Both boys love to snuggle and are waiting with dignity for their fur-ever family to be a part of always."

They are both neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV Negative.

The rescue is not doing face-to-face meetings with interested families until the new coronavirus passes, but it's taking adoption applications to begin the process. Personal information won't be shared, Wild said.
