Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Willow, Zander, Atlas And Opal

NORTHPORT, NY — Willow, Zander, Atlas and Opal, all around 5 months old, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association’s Kittens of the Week.

Willow is a female tortie bonded to her brother Zander, who has the softest black fur, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.

"They were born in a kind lady’s yard and were kept safe there until they came into our rescue," Wild said. "Zander is a total mush ball and will sprawl out when you pet him. He depends on his sister Willow for confidence as she is full of confidence and curiosity. She also likes to be pet and both like to be carried over your shoulder. They are very gentle and calm kittens. We cannot wait to see them finally settled in their forever home where they can grow up together."

Atlas and Opal, bonded siblings, are so sweet and playful, Wild said. Opal is also a tortie kitten, and her brother Atlas is a tabby.

"They were abandoned at an apartment parking lot, fending on their own when thankfully, a compassionate lady rescued them," Wild said. "They are attached to each other and are extremely loving with people as well. They will purr the moment you touch them. They are playful and silly and will be sure to add joy to any family they join."

All four kittens are at Petco Commack waiting for visitors.

They are spayed and neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
