Northport-East Northport 2023-24 School Budget Passes
Two of three school board candidates were elected.
NORTHPORT, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Northport-East Northport School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 1,839 votes to 1,315.
The district's budget is $183,038,428, up 2.91 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $153,632,970, up 1.99 percent.
Incumbents Donna McNaughton and David Badanes were elected to the Northport-East Northport Board of Education for three-year terms. Challenger Amanda Cascio was not elected.

The vote tally was:
- Donna McNaughton: 2,275
- David Badanes: 2,174
- Amanda Cascio: 1,147
