Voters Approve Northport-East Northport School Budget, Board Members Elected

Northport-East Northport residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $161,380,883 budget was approved by a margin of 2,568-687. The budget is a 1.12 percent increase in spending over the current year and it comes with a 0.55 percent tax levy increase.

Voters also elected the following three candidates to the Northport-East Northport Board of Education:

• Allison Noonan
• Lori McCue
• Andrew Rapiejko
