Northport HS To Host 'Brave The Shave' For St. Baldrick's Foundation

The annual fundraiser will raise money and awareness for children battling cancer.

NORTHPORT, NY — The annual "Brave the Shave" event for the St. Baldrick's Foundation is scheduled for Friday at Northport High School, the Northport-East Northport School District announced.

Each year, the event raises funds and awareness for children suffering from pediatric cancer. During the event, students and staff who volunteer will have their head shaved in a sign of solidarity. In addition to the head shaving, the event is filled with family fun activities for students of all ages.

The event is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, while the head shaving is slated for 4:15 to 5:30 p.m., according to the district. Northport High School is at 154 Laurel Hill Road.
