NORTHPORT, NY — Parents of Northport Middle School will be organizing a "Sick Out" rally Monday morning. The event starts at 8 a.m. at the middle school.
The "Sick Out" is being organized by Close Northport Middle School Long Island, New York, a Facebook group aiming to educate the community about the potential health risks at the school.
School parents were angered after high levels of mercury were found in a cesspool area outside the building, next to a classroom.
