The soon-to-be Northport Middle school sixth grader is set to appear in the new musical Dream Street.
Alexa Valentino is no stranger to the stage. The soon-to-be Northport Middle school sixth grader is set to appear in the Off-Broadway U.S. premiere of the new musical Dream Street at the Pearl Theatre on 42nd Street in Manhattan.
Coming to America straight from London, Dream Street tells the story of a group of kids who audition for a big time West End producer. Ms. Valentino in certainly familiar with the audition process. She was thrilled to see her name on the cast list when it was announced last month.
Ms. Valentino has been performing on stage for many years. She had her first “real” audition when she was just 6 years old. “ I go on auditions all the time, it’s so exciting to be cast in a production that is about that process,” she said. “ Every audition is like getting on a new ride at the amusement park, I just love the feeling I get when I try out for a role, being a performer is just who I am” the 10 year old actress said.
