Northport Native Allie Long's Hotel Room Burglarized During ESPYs
A thief took Allie Long's wedding ring, cash and a key to New York City that she had just received from Mayor Bill de Blasio.

NORTHPORT, NY — A night of celebration for the U.S. Women's World Cup team turned sour for Northport native Allie Long, after she discovered her Los Angeles hotel room was burglarized. The thief struck when Long was with the rest of the team attending the ESPY's.
The veteran midfielder tweeted Thursday night, that following the award show, "someone stole my wedding ring, cash and the key to my favorite city." The key is in reference to the "key to the city" that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio gave team members at the ticker tape parade Tuesday.
After the @ESPYS show someone stole my wedding ring, cash and the key to my favorite city after just receiving it from my hotel room. Do you make copies @NYCMayor ? I would love a new one.

De Blasio tweeted in response the following morning, "Like any good New Yorker, we keep a spare for our neighbors!"
