Northport PD Blotter: 2 Adults, Child, Rescued Off Disabled Boat
ALSO: A golden retriever got loose on Ocean Avenue and ran off on July 24, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from July 19 through July 25.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A man told police on July 19 he lost the license plate on his trailer on July 17 while driving on Main Street. He filed a larceny affidavit.
- A summons was issued on July 20 to a boat owner who hadn't moved the vessel in a week.
- A resident reported that someone knocked on the front door of his home around 3 a.m. July 20 and ran off. No damage was reported.
- An Ocean Avenue woman said she found a BB gun while cleaning out her house on July 22. She asked the police to destroy the gun.
- A truck driver was issued a summons for parking in a school drop-off zone on Scudder Avenue on July 22.
- A man who said he works for a pest control company was soliciting for potential customers on Maple Circle around 7:50 p.m. July 22. Police told him he needed a permit.
- A loud party was being held at a Stone Drive home at 8:35 p.m. on July 22. The owner was warned and admonished after he agreed to lower the music.
- A loud party was being held at a Stone Drive home at 10:38 p.m. July 22. Police spoke with a resident who agreed to turn off the music.
- Police responded to St. Philip Neri Church on Main Street on July 23 for a report of a large funeral with attendees possibly closing the road. Police said the road could not be closed but offered to help.
- Two adults and a child were found aboard a disabled boat in Northport Bay on July 23 by an officer aboard an M-15. Police brought the adults and child onboard while towing the disabled vessel safely to the harbor.
- A Scudder Place resident and employee of Greencare Tree Service got into an argument on July 23, causing police to respond. The caller said he hired the tree service company to complete work in the back of his home. He said when the employee attempted to access the back yard through his neighbor's yard, he called the police department to document that no damage had been done to the neighbor's property. Police confirmed no damage was done. The caller said he will reschedule a date for the work to be completed with smaller equipment so that there is no need to access his property through his neighbor's yard.
- A golden retriever was found running in the middle of Ocean Avenue around 9:40 a.m. July 24. Police could not find the dog.
- A Hill Street resident called police to report his neighbor's vines were growing over the fence and onto his property. The caller said he wants the neighbor to cut the growth. The neighbor said they own the property and the fence is on their property. The residents were advised that it is a civil matter and they should consult with their respective attorneys if they can not come to a resolution.
- A man fainted at Salted. On The Harbor at 6:49 p.m. July 25. Northport Rescue brought him to Huntington Hospital.
- A drone was reportedly outside a Harborview Drive house on July 25.
