Northport PD Blotter: 2 Cars Keyed At Britannia Yachting Center

ALSO: Two women were involved in a reported road rage on Main Street, police say.

NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from March 2 through March 8.

The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Police responded to Lindberg Court 7:50 a.m. March 3 for report of noise from construction. An officer spoke with the general contractor and told him construction can't start until 8 a.m. in the future.
  • Police responded to Rockin' Fish for a drunk woman who was unable to pay her bill at 1:33 p.m. March 3. Officers reached out to the woman's niece who said she'd cover the bill. The business owner was asked to fill out a trespass affidavit, and no further action was needed.
  • A man went to Northport police headquarters to report an unknown person keyed his silver BMW at Britannia Yachting Center, with an estimated $250 in damage. The incident was reported March 3.
  • A man went to Northport police headquarters to tell police his neighbor has been making insulting comments towards him. He said his neighbor called him a "Polack" and had video evidence of it, which was forwarded to the detective. The man said he's spoken with the detective about past issues regarding the neighbor listed above and wanted to report new issues since then. The man made a report for informational purposes on March 3.
  • A woman overdosed on alcohol on Fifth Avenue on March 3. Northport Rescue brought her to Huntington Hospital.
  • A woman went to the Northport Police Department to report a road rage incident that happened on Main Street 10:45 a.m. March 4. The woman said she was driving behind a black Lincoln, which was driving slowly. She said she honked her horn multiple times at the car to drive faster, and the Lincoln then slowed down. The woman said after she parked her car at the post office, the driver of the Lincoln, a woman she didn't know, began knocking on her window and yelling at her that what she did wasn't right. The Lincoln driver left the area without further incident. The woman filed the report for informational purposes.
  • A man went to Northport police headquarters to report an unknown person keyed his blue 2013 Mercedes Benz at Britannia Yachting Center, with an estimated $1,000 in damage. The incident was reported March 5.
  • A man overdosed on heroin on Polk Avenue. An officer administered a dose of NARCAN and provided care until Suffolk police and East Northport Fire Department arrived. The incident happened March 6.
  • Police responded to Hillside Place for a reported threatening text and letter on March 6.
  • A woman went to Northport police headquarters to tell police she received a fake message on her answering machine from Apple. She said she called Apple and verified it was not a message from them. The woman was told about precautions to take by police. The incident happened March 7.
  • An officer patrolling Constitution Square saw the vent was removed from the side of the women's bathroom in the park. The incident happened March 7.
  • Police responded to Fifth Avenue for a report of an unconscious woman. As it turns out, she was napping. The incident happened March 8.
