Northport PD Blotter: Insomniac Knocks On Woman's Door At 4 A.M.
When police asked him what he was doing, he told them he walks around at night because he can't sleep: Northport PD.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent arrests and incidents from the Northport Village area, from Sept. 9 to Sept. 15.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Anna Lemon, 25, of East Northport, turned herself in on a Northport Village arrest warrant, police said. She was charged with failure to appear on Sept. 10.
- Robert Lack, 42, of Wantagh, was arrested on an active Northport Village arrest warrant, police said. He was charged with failure to appear on Sept. 13.
- Lauren Lavoro, 25, of Northport, was arrested on an active Northport Village arrest warrant after being charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: three or more suspensions, police said. She was charged with failure to appear on Sept. 13.
Incidents
- Police responded to Fox Lane for a report of noises coming through a neighbor's window. Police spoke to the homeowner, who said her child was crying because he missed the bus to school. The incident happened Sept. 9.
- Police recovered an empty stolen vehicle on the east side parking lot of Britannia Yacht Club on Sept. 10. After being unable to reach the owner, the vehicle was impounded.
- Police responded to Duffy Court for a report that a woman was going through peoples' yards. When officers arrived, headquarters told them that the children who were waiting at the bus stop saw a woman hiding in yards. Police found the woman, who was actually a cleaning lady of the home across the street from the bus stop. A neighbor and mother of one of the children confirmed that she's been the cleaning lady for a few years. The incident happened on Sept. 10.
- Police responded to Chestnut Circle for a report of a dispute between a landlord and tenants on Sept. 10. The landlord told police the tenants were supposed to have moved out on Sept. 1 but were still in the process of moving to Fort Salonga Road. The tenants told police they should have all their belongings out by the end of that day. Both parties agreed to avoid one another and were advised to contact their lawyers to avoid any further conflict.
- A woman went to Northport Police Headquarters to tell officers that a man wanted her and her daughter to pet his dog while they were waiting at the bus stop, although neither of them knew the man. The incident happened on Sept. 10.
- A student at Island Kids was choking and brought to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue on Sept. 10.
- Police responded to Hillside Place at 4:02 a.m. on Sept. 11 for report of a suspicious
person knocking on the front door. Police found the man standing across from the caller's house. When asked what he was doing, the man said he has insomnia and walks around at night. The caller didn't wish to speak to police further, but thought it was strange that there was someone knocking on her door at that hour. The man was asked to leave the area. - An unknown man was trying to enter a North Avenue home, so Northport Police assisted Suffolk Police until enough officers arrived. The incident happened Sept. 12.
- Police found a drunk man on Fort Salonga Road and brought him to the VA Hospital on Sept. 13.
- A homeowner agreed to extinguish his outdoor fire pit after it was causing a heavy smoke condition on Ocean Avenue on Sept. 13.
- An empty car was found in the fire lane of Jay Heun Chinese restaurant, and the owner was issued an appropriate summons on Sept. 14.
- Police responded to Summit Avenue after a caller informed them of a loud party. The homeowner said he'd turn the music off. The incident happened Sept. 14.
- A drunk woman was found on Main Street and brought to Huntington Hospital on Sept. 15.
- Police went to Britannia Yachting Center on a report of loud music on Sept. 15 at 9:04 p.m. Officers observed there was a party being held in the catering hall. All guests were inside the building and the noise level was acceptable. A second noise complaint was made at 10:08 p.m. This time, police observed amplified music. The music was turned down at the officer's request. Police went to the caller's home and explained what happened.
