Northport PD Blotter: Man Yells At Village Park Gazebo At 3 A.M.
The man was found with open cans of Four Loko and Steel Reserve, police say. He was issued a field appearance ticket.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police reports for the Northport Village area from Feb. 10 through Feb. 16. The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
Arrests/tickets
- Paul Delsandro, 29, of Northport, was heard yelling at Constitution Square by an officer on patrol at 3:03 a.m. Feb. 12, police said. The officer approached Delsandro, who was sitting in the gazebo in Village Park while it was closed, police said. The officer told him he had been warned numerous times not to be in Village Park after hours, police said, only for Delsandro to disregard the officer by saying "I am outside," and "I am an American!" The officer found open cans of Four Loko and Steel Reserve beer in the gazebo next to Delsandro, police said. Delsandro was not arrested, but he was issued a field appearance ticket for alcohol possession: open container and curfew violation: parks/beaches, police said.

- Someone went to police headquarters to file a report regarding unwanted text messages, and police advised them to block the numbers the texts were coming from. The incident happened Feb. 11.
- Police responded to Giunta's Shopping Center for reports of a possibly intoxicated driver. The officer found the vehicle and interviewed the driver, and the officer determined the driver was not intoxicated. The incident happened Feb. 11.
- A man went to police headquarters on Feb. 13 to report an incident that happened Feb. 11 at 6 a.m. He said after he brought his garbage cans to the curb and returned to bed, an unknown person began banging on his front door about eight times. The man said the person left by the time he reached the front door. The man asked a report be made for informational purposes.
- An intoxicated woman refused to leave the bar at Feed & Grain Restaurant on Main Street. She was brought to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue. The incident happened Feb. 15.
- Someone was using a metal detector and digging holes on school property at Ocean Avenue School. He was advised he was on school property and agreed to leave. The incident happened Feb. 16.
