NORTHPORT, NY — Maisie, Misty, Maximus and Mighty Mouse, who are 4-month-old siblings, were named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

The four kittens were born outside and struggled to survive on their own, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. A family took them in and fostered them. Now, the kittens are ready to find their forever homes.

Maisie and Misty are sisters who adore each other, Wild said. Maisie is a tabby with a sweet meow who loves to be pet. She is shy but also an observer. She was fostered with other cats besides her siblings, and she got along with all of them, according to Wild.

Misty has velvety gray fur and is the outgoing one between the two. She is loving, adores snuggling, and gives kisses to her fosters. She is very smart and will come running when her name is called, Wild said. She gets along with other cats, but especially her sister, Maisie.

Mighty Mouse and Maximus, bonded brothers, are full of personality, according to Wild.

Mighty Mouse, a tabby, loves his toys, is playful and very silly. He loves to be held and will purr and snuggle into someone as they carry him.

His brother Maximus, a black and white tuxedo, is curious and adventurous, Wild said. He will sneak up on his brother and tease him until he plays. He is super smart and loving, always waiting for his turn to be pet, Wild wrote. Both get along with other cats as well.

"All four are currently in our habitats in Petco Commack and are not having the easiest time adjusting," Wild said. "It can be tough for our kittens and cats to stare out of a cage while waiting for their forever homes. All four are doing it with grace, almost as if they know it is where they need to be to find that happy ending."

They are all spayed or neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
