Northport Planning Pride In The Park Festival
The festival will be the cornerstone of the month-long Northport Pride event in June on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community.
NORTHPORT, NY — Northport Village is set to hold its first-ever Northport Pride in June, with the centerpiece being the Pride in the Park festival on June 17.
The festival is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., where the village hopes to attract residents, day-trip visitors, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as their friends and family.
Northport Mayor Donna Koch is set to kick off the month-long celebration by raising a Pride flag at Village Hall on June 1. The flag will remain raised for the month. Shopkeepers will be asked to place a poster in their windows for Northport Pride, and organizations and businesses will be asked to create and host Pride events.
