Northport Police: 2 Charged With Driving With A Suspended License
Recent arrests and noteworthy incidents in the Northport Village area, including two people driving with a suspended license: police.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent arrests and incidents from the Northport Village area, from July 15 through July 21.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

- Kevin Liburd, 57, of Bay Shore, allegedly drove on Fort Salonga Road with a license that had been suspended three or more times and was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: 3 > suspensions and failure to obey traffic control device on July 15. Liburd was also found to have an active SCPD warrant, police said.
- Michelle Purrazzi, 35, of Commack, allegedly was driving on Elwood Road while using a cellphone, and was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: 3 > suspensions and use of mobile telephones on July 15.
- Thomas Gesuale, 62, of Northport, surrendered himself on active NPVJ Warrant #26-19. He was arrested and charged with failure to appear on July 15.
Incidents
- Police drove a man whose car ran out of gas home to get a gas can on July 15.
- A group left Feed & Grain Restaurant on Main Street without paying for their bill. They told police it was because the service took too long, but then agreed to pay the bill. The incident happened on July 16.
- A girl threw a loud party at her home on Waterview Lane while her parents were away on vacation and didn't know their daughter was having it. Police cleared the home of anyone who didn't live there and called the girl's parents to tell them what happened. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on July 16.
- A woman informed police of three scam calls she received where the scammer told her one of her grandchildren had been in an accident. Each time, the woman was aware the call was a scam and ended the call immediately. The caller ID from the scam caller was listed and comes back to the Manhattan Public Defenders Office. The incident happened on July 17.
- A woman headed to police headquarters to tell officers of a middle-aged white man driving a white SUV who followed her up Main Street until she walked into the Fire House. The SUV then drove away. Police told the woman a report would be taken for information only. The incident happened on June 17.
- A woman informed police that damage had been done to her 2015 Audi, and the unknown person left without reporting. The incident happened on July 17.
- Two people were having a loud discussion at Laurel Avenue School, though both told police they were simply having an animated discussion and there were no problems. The incident happened on July 18.
- A man got out of his grey car on Oak Street and peed in the street, but police couldn't find him. The incident happened on July 19.
- Police told a woman who lives on Dolphin Lane to bring her barking dog inside on July 20.
- Police headed to Scudder Place for reports of a loud party. The homeowner agreed to turn the music off. The incident happened on July 21.
- Police headed to Hawkins Drive for reports of a loud party. The homeowner agreed to turn the music down. The incident happened on July 21.
