Northport Police Blotter: 2 Catalytic Converters Swiped
ALSO: Police rescued two dogs that got loose, and Halloween decorations were reported missing from a home.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Oct. 17 through Oct. 23.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on Lindberg Court on Oct. 17.
- Police found a loose dog on Main Street on Oct. 18. The owner went to police headquarters to retrieve her dog, which had escaped through an open fence.
- Police found a loose dog on Dolphin Lane on Oct. 19 and brought the dog back to its home. The dog's owner was not home, so police led the dog inside through an open back door.
- A Milland Drive resident on Oct. 19 told police that a person or persons rummaged through his vehicle while it was parked and unlocked in his driveway. Nothing was taken or damaged.
- A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on Chestnut Circle on Oct. 19.
- An older man fainted in the Northport Yacht Club lot on Oct. 19. Northport Rescue brought him to Huntington Hospital.
- Police removed the doors of a refrigerator left on a Church Street sidewalk on Oct. 21.
- A summons was issued to the owner of a vehicle that was blocking a driveway on Scudder Avenue on Oct. 21.
- The police were called on a group of teens who were soliciting near Hill Street on Oct. 22. The group had a valid permit for fundraising.
- Missing Halloween decorations were reported by a Norwood Avenue resident on Oct. 22.
- An older woman tripped on a crack while crossing the road on Main Street and suffered injuries on Oct. 23. The woman asked her son to bring her to the hospital.
