Northport Police Blotter: 3 Charged With DWI

A man who was charged with DWI was found to have two previous DWI convictions and a revoked license, police say.

NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Oct. 25 through Oct. 31.

The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Christopher Migliore, 30, of Huntington, was inside a 2013 Honda with the engine running in a metered parking spot on Main Street at 4:36 a.m. Oct. 30, police said. An officer found Migliore behind the wheel, police said. Migliore had glassy and bloodshot eyes, slurred and sluggish speech, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath, police said. He performed poorly on several field sobriety tests administered, police said. Migliore was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated: BAC reading and driving while intoxicated.
  • Patrick Pannone, 37, of Centerport, was driving a 2021 Volkswagen around 9 p.m. Oct. 30, police said. Police found the unoccupied 2021 Volkswagen facing northbound in a westbound lane that had been struck by a 2019 Ram pick-up truck traveling in the westbound lane, police said. The Ram pick-up driver said while traveling in the westbound lane straight ahead on Fort Salonga Road, Pannone drove through the stop sign on Sandy Hollow Road and went northbound, crossing into his lane of traffic in front of his vehicle, and he didn't have enough time to stop, causing him to hit Pannone's Volkswagen, police said. Pannone then left the Volkswagen and ran southbound on Sandy Hollow Road, police said. Police found Pannone, who had glassy and bloodshot eyes, slurred and sluggish speech, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath, and was very unsteady on his feet, police said. Pannone performed poorly on a horizontal gaze nystagmus test and then refused further testing, including a breath test, police said. He also pushed an officer, police said. Pannone has had two previous DWI convictions and was driving with a revoked license, police said. Pannone was arrested and charged with DWI: third, refuse pre-screen test, leaving the scene of an incident, right of way violation: left turn, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe lane change and second-degree harassment: physical contact.
  • Jennifer Connors, 45, of Bayville, was driving a 2020 Volkswagen when she made an illegal left turn from the west exit parking lot of 81 Fort Salonga Road around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31, police said. Connors turned eastbound on Fort Salonga Road and swerved in and out of her lane, into oncoming traffic, multiple times, police said. Connors had glassy and bloodshot eyes, slurred and sluggish speech, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath, and was very unsteady on her feet, police said. She performed poorly on several field sobriety tests administered, police said. Connors was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change, driving while intoxicated: BAC reading, and fail to obey traffic control device.

Incidents

  • An injured deer was euthanized by police at Steers Avenue and removed by the Huntington Highway Department on Oct. 25.
  • An injured deer was euthanized by police at Eatons Neck Road on Oct. 25.
  • A vehicle overturned in the woods on Waterside Road on Oct. 25. Northport police helped Suffolk police with the overturn.
  • A security guard on Oct. 27 told police that a man drove a vehicle into a driveway on Ocean Avenue, continuously honked the horn, yelled something unintelligible out of the window and then drove away. Police did not find the man nearby.
  • An injured deer was euthanized by police at Eatons Neck Road on Oct. 28.
  • Police responded to Northport Fish & Lobster on Oct. 29 after the village administrator told police he was inspecting the business, and someone began speaking to the administrator in an "aggressive manner." The person told police he did not enter the property and just said "hello" to the administrator. The person left the area without further incident, police said.
  • Three underage teenagers refused to leave The Whales Tale after the bartender tried to kick them out on Oct. 30. When the bartender called 911, the teens drove away in a gray Toyota SUV.
  • Stop signs were reportedly being opened by a driver on Ocean Avenue on Oct. 31. Police found the signs were closed. The driver told police he opened the signs because he was worried about traffic safety. Police warned and admonished the man.
  • A group of teens was throwing things from a Jeep Grand Cherokee at passing vehicles on Laurel Avenue on Oct. 31. Police could not find the kids.
