Northport Police Blotter: Cars Towed For Parking On Fort Salonga Road
ALSO: A dog got lost, sewage was leaking from a manhole cover, and a 2-year-old who was bleeding was taken to a hospital, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Feb. 26 through March 3.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A dog got loose on Beach Avenue near the Northport Sewer Plant on Feb. 26. Police could not find the dog.
- Police were called to June Avenue on Feb. 26 for a report of an unknown substance splattered on a house. Police determined it was most likely excrement from birds.
- Two dogs were running around Scudder Park without leashes on Feb. 28. The owner was given a field appearance ticket.
- Sewage was leaking from a manhole cover on Laurel Avenue and pouring onto the sidewalk on Feb. 28.
- A tree fell on Cherry Street on Feb. 29, blocking the road. The Northport Highway Department was notified.
- A dog was found on Stanton Street and returned to its owner on Feb. 29.
- A vehicle was towed for parking illegally on Fort Salonga Road on Feb. 29.
- Vehicles were towed for parking illegally on Fort Salonga Road on Feb. 29.
- A man suffered a cut to his leg at The Northport Hotel on March 3. Northport Rescue brought him to Huntington Hospital.
- A 2-year-old child was reportedly bleeding on Mar-Kan Drive on March 3. Northport Rescue brought the baby to Stony Brook Hospital.
