Northport Police Blotter: Fireworks Set Off; Grand Larceny Reported
ALSO: A lost or stolen license plate was reported; two vehicles were involved in a collision, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from March 25 through March 31.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- An elderly woman was having a stroke at Ivy Rehab on March 27. Northport Rescue brought her to Huntington Hospital.
- Burnt food was causing an electrical smell on Willis Street on March 28.
- A Blydenburgh Court resident reported a grand larceny to police on March 30. Police could not provide further information at this time.
- A man reported a lost/stolen plate from a 2020 BMW 530I on March 30. An MV-78B was issued and a larceny affidavit was completed. Police told the owner to surrender the plate and bring back a receipt in which he agreed to do.
- Two vehicles collided on Reservoir Avenue on March 30. A man told police he was driving west on Scudder Avenue when another vehicle traveling east collided with his mirror causing damage to it around 3:20 p.m. Police spoke with the driver of the other vehicle who said the same. The driver did not want to file an accident report and agreed to exchange information.
- Police responded to North Road on March 31 for loud banging noises coming from outside. An officer saw fireworks going off in the area and found the house they were being set off at. The homeowner was warned and admonished.
