Northport Police Blotter: Items Missing From Vehicle, Loose Dogs

ALSO: A man who overdosed was taken to the hospital; and vehicles were towed for parking illegally on Fort Salonga Road, police say.

NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Feb. 19 through Feb. 25.

The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • A person drove a vehicle into a tree on Eatons Neck Road on Feb. 19. The driver was conscious and alert when Northport police got there. The officer remained until enough Suffolk officers arrived.
  • A Scudder Place man reported items were missing from his vehicle on Feb. 19.
  • A man overdosed on Beach Avenue on Feb. 20. Northport Rescue brought him to Huntington Hospital.
  • An officer went to Sunrise Highway to recover stolen property on Feb. 20.
  • Northport police helped Suffolk police with a house fire on West Street on Feb. 20.
  • A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle blocking a Scudder Avenue driveway on Feb. 21.
  • Vehicles were towed for parking illegally on Fort Salonga Road on Feb. 23.
  • A woman found a loose dog on Woodbine Avenue on Feb. 24 and helped reunite it with its owner.
  • Dogs got loose on Beach Avenue on Feb. 24. Police found the dogs and reunited them with their owner.
