Northport Police Blotter: Items Stolen From Wallets
ALSO: A buck got stuck, officers responded to a crash, and a fence was damaged, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Sept. 4 through Sept. 10.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Police asked a group of men on a small boat to land on Sept. 7 after they realized the boat was not registered through NYS and the men were not wearing life vests. The men were asked to leave the beach because they did not have a village parking permit, which they agreed to do.
- A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle parked in a "permit only" spot without a permit displayed. The incident happened on Union Place on Sept. 8.
- A child suffered an arm injury after falling on Burt Avenue on Sept. 9. Northport Rescue brought the child to Huntington Hospital.
- A buck's antlers were stuck in a fence on Fifth Avenue on Sept. 10. The buck freed himself and ran off into the woods.
- A Scudder Place woman reported items were missing from her wallet on Sept. 10.
- A Washington Place resident reported items were stolen from a wallet left inside a vehicle on Sept. 10.
- A Maple Circle fence was damaged on Sept. 10.
- A woman fainted at The Whales Tale on Sept. 10 but she declined medical attention.
- Northport police assisted Suffolk police with a motor vehicle crash on Waterside Road on Sept. 10.
