Northport Police Blotter: Loaded Magazine Found In Parking Lot

ALSO: Officers reunited a lost dog with its owner.

NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Oct. 23 through Oct. 29.

The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • A Dolphin Lane resident was burning leaves on Oct. 23, which violates village ordinance, and was asked by police to stop.
  • A loaded 0.22 caliber magazine was found in a parking lot on Fort Salonga Road on Oct. 27. Police vouchered the property and secured it in a temporary storage bin.
  • A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle blocking a driveway on Main Street on Oct. 27.
  • Giunta's Meat Farm was stolen from on Oct. 28, police said.
  • A dog got loose on Ocean Avenue on Oct. 28. Officers were able to find the owner and return
    the dog.
