Northport Police Blotter: Man Banned From Napper Tandy's
The man, who was intoxicated, was making threats and refusing to leave, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Aug. 10 through Aug. 16.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A summons was issued to the owner of a vehicle that was blocking a Scudder Avenue driveway on Aug. 10.
- A dog was reportedly attacked by another dog on Waterview Street West on Aug. 11. A man said while he was walking his dog, another dog from Milland Drive ran out from the yard and attacked his dog, leaving small cuts on the head and snout. The man said the loose dog has been an ongoing issue and is fearful that an adult or child might be attacked. Police visited the home, but no one was there. Police tried to reach the homeowner throughout the day, but couldn't do so. The incident was documented.
- A woman went to police headquarters to report her NYS license plates were missing. She said she doesn't know where this could have happened. An statement of theft was prepared. The plates were reported stolen on Aug. 12.
- The fields at Laurel Avenue School were being cut at 7:23 a.m. — before the 8 a.m. allowed start time. Police spoke with an employee who agreed to wait to start cutting again. The incident happened Aug. 13.
- A boat trailer was left parked and unattended in front of a Garfield Street home, violating Village code. A summons was issued to the owners, who couldn't be contacted. The incident happened Aug. 13.
- A woman told police that a man she didn't know went to her mother's home at 4 p.m. Aug. 13, knocked on her front door and said he needed to enter the house to "survey the water." The mother didn't let the man in. Police looked for the man in the surrounding area but didn't find him. The report was filed for informational purposes.
- A group of kids were playing basketball in Village Park without social distancing, so police were called. They agreed to leave once police arrived. The incident happened Aug. 14.
- An officer patrolling Northport Harbor saw a vessel traveling southbound in the area of Northport Dock at a reckless speed and disrupting boats in the dock. The driver was issued violations. The incident happened Aug. 14.
- A man overdosed at Stop & Shop on Fort Salonga Road on Aug. 14. Northport police remained at the store until enough Suffolk police officers got there.
- A man refused to leave Napper Tandy's. Staff told police a drunk man was making threats and refusing to leave before he fled. Police found the man and told him he is not allowed back on the property due to a trespass affidavit. The manager signed the affidavit, banning the man from the pub. The manager told police she no longer wanted the man in the pub for any reason. The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 15.
- Police responded to Fourth Street to help in a vehicle pursuit that turned into a foot chase. The incident happened Aug. 15.
- A man refused to leave The Whales Tale at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 16. The manager told police that an ex-employee was making threats and refusing to leave but had ran off before police arrived. Police could not find the man. The manager only knew the man as "Ramon" with no further information, police said. The manager was told to call police if the man returned.
