Northport Police Blotter: Woman Helps Reunite Lost Dog With Owner
ALSO: Someone had to be taken to a hospital after a fight broke out at TD Bank, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Sept. 19 through Sept. 25.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle parked in a no-parking zone on Scudder Avenue on Sept. 19.
- A summons was issued to the driver of a vehicle with expired registration on Seaview Avenue on Sept. 19.
- Solicitors were warned and admonished for soliciting in Northport Village on Sept. 19.
- A dead rabbit was causing an odor in a Gilbert Street yard on Sept. 19.
- A Sailfish Place homeowner was warned and admonished for draining poolwater into the street, as it violates village code. The incident was reported on Sept. 20.
- A woman on Sept. 20 turned herself in for a leaving the scene of an incident.
- A woman said her lawn signs were taken sometime between 10 and 11 p.m. on Sept. 17.
- A woman on Sept. 21 told police of her concerns over traffic at the intersection of Ocean and
Valley avenues and is seeking to have the stop signs remain open 24 hours a day. Police said she should petition the village board for the change in signage and reassured her that marked police cars monitor the intersection for moving violations. - A male going through drug withdrawals was taken to Huntington Hospital on Sept. 21 by Northport Rescue.
- A person reported a potential credit card fraud on Sept. 22.
- Two people got into a fight at TD Bank on Sept. 23. Someone suffered a head injury in the fight and was taken to Huntington Hospital.
- A woman found a dog on Laurel Avenue on Sept. 24 and could not find the owner. She took the dog home with her and tried to find the owner through the local kennels and animal hospitals. The dog's owner called Northport police reporting a lost dog with a matching description to the one the woman found. The dog owner was put in touch with the person who had found the dog and it was returned to the owner.
- A summons was issued to someone who blocked a Waterview Lane driveway on Sept. 24.
