Northport Police Blotter: Woman Overdoses On Alcohol
She was hospitalized after drinking a dangerous amount. ALSO: Another woman found a fraudulent $222 credit card charge: Northport PD.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent arrests and incidents from the Northport Village area, from August 5 through August 11.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Arrests

- Julian Tan, 17, of Northport, sped while driving on Fort Salonga Road, police said. He was arrested and charged with speeding: posted zone and unlawful possession of marijuana on August 7.
- Michael Laboy, 42, of Elmhurst, surrendered himself on an active arrest warrant, police said. He was arrested and charged with failure to appear on August 9.
Incidents
- Someone dumped three chickens and roosters each at Lewis Oliver Farm Sanctuary. The farm workers gathered the animals and put them in a separate area until their health could be confirmed by a veterinarian. The incident happened early August 7.
- A woman went to police headquarters to notify officers of a fraudulent $222 charge on her Macy's credit card made June 16 from Herald Square, New York. The woman did not suffer any loss and said she closed the credit card. The incident happened August 7.
- A transformer fire broke out on Fort Salonga Road on August 7.
- A woman overdosed on alcohol at Brew Cheese and was transported to Huntington Hospital at 5:11 p.m. on August 7.
- Police responded to Laurel Avenue for a reported aggravated harassment on August 9. No other information was provided.
- A car parked in a non-parking spot in Municipal Lot #7 on Woodside Avenue and blocked access to the staircase. A parking summons was issued. The incident happened August 10.
- Police responded to a loud party being held at a Maple Avenue home. It was nearly 10:30 p.m. when the homeowner told police he broke up the party, and the underage kids were being picked up by their parents. Police remained until all the kids were gone. The incident happened August 10.
