Northport Student Named Scholar Artist

The student was selected by the Long Island Arts Alliance for the 2014-2015 school year.

A Northport High School student has been recognized for her strengths in both academics and the arts.

Alexandra Infranco, grade 12, was named a scholar-artist by the Long Island Arts Alliance for the 2014-2015 school year, according to the Northport-East Northport School District.

The Long Island Scholar Artist program recognizes students who excel academically and in the areas of either music, visual arts, dance, theater, or media arts, the school district reported. Infranco will be honored at a reception at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts LIU Post in the spring.
