Northport Village Board Public Meeting To Discuss Hotel/Inn Law
Northport Village Board held a Public Meeting May 16 on Proposed Hotel

Northport Village Board held a Public Meeting May 16 to discuss a possible new Hotel / Inn law . One-Hundred fifty people filled Village Hall and its adjacent lobby to comment on this law. The law was a result of Mr. Kevin O'Neill's proposal to build a new 21 guest room hotel across from the JW Engeman Theater, of which he is principle. The hotel will be located at the 225 Main Street, Northport, presently occupied by a restaurant and pizza place. Over fifty people addressed the Board, with all but two supporting the hotel law enthusiastically. Ms Bernadette Castro, former New York State Commissioner of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation was among the many speakers supporting the proposed Hotel/Inn Law. (See attached photo)
