Northport Village, Stop and Shop Makes $1.4K Donation to Help Feed the Hungry

Northport Ecumenical Lay Council Food Pantry will use every penny to feed hundreds of people each week.

Northport Stop & Shop and the Village of Northport teamed up to make a $1,421.80 donation to help feed the hungry in the Northport-East Northport area.

Northport Ecumenical Lay Council Food Pantry, a nonprofit community-based organization with no financial overhead, will use every penny of the donations to help feed hundreds of people each week.

Northport Stop & Shop general manager Pat DeRise and several Northport officials presented the check to Food Pantry director Sally Stark on Friday at 5 p.m.

Many Village leaders attended the presentation, including Northport Village Mayor George Doll, Stop & Shop assistant managers Paul Dickerson and Jen Lodico, Northport Village Trustees Henry Tobin and Jerry Maline and Northport Police Chief Bill Ricca.
