NORTHPORT, NY — Many kittens enter rescue on their own. But every so often, a bonded pair arrives who clearly belong side by side.

Philip and Jensen are one of those pairs. Born in July 2025, the brothers have been named this week’s Northport Cat Rescue Association Kittens of the Week. According to rescue volunteers, “the two couldn’t be more different in personality, yet perfectly matched.”

Philip is described as the quieter soul of the pair — gentle, calm, and content to simply be near his people. He is the kind of kitten who “patiently lets his siblings eat first” and prefers quiet companionship.

Jensen, his long-haired brother, is the curious and playful counterpart. Volunteers say he is “endlessly curious,” often finding himself in silly situations, and “melts into loud purrs the moment he’s touched.”

“They really balance each other,” the rescue shared. “You get the sweetness and the entertainment all in one.”

The brothers have been fostered with both cats and dogs and have done wonderfully with everyone they’ve met, making them a great fit for a variety of households.

Philip and Jensen are currently available for adoption at Petco in Commack, where visitors can meet them in person. Rescue officials say it’s hard not to fall in love instantly.

The pair must be adopted together. Both kittens are neutered, up to date on vaccinations, litter-box trained, microchipped, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Those interested in meeting Philip and Jensen — or any of the rescue’s available cats and kittens — can complete an adoption application through the Northport Cat Rescue website, call 631-606-2631 or email info@northportcatrescue.org.
