Police Log: Girl Spots Peeping Tom, Gun Found Lying in Sand

Thursday, April 14
At 2 p.m., a woman responded to headquarters to report that her purse was missing from her Constitution Square home. The bag contained a NYS license, a debit card and $40.
At 5:25 p.m., police received a report of an unknown person trying to solicit rides to the VA at the CVS lot on Fort Salonga Road. Officers could not locate the subject.

Friday, April 15
At 3:42 p.m., police received a report of a gun lying in the sand at Woodbine Marina on Fort Salonga Road. Officer arrived to the scene to retrieve the gun from the water and discovered it was an airsoft gun.

At 7:27 p.m., police received a report of an intoxicated woman walking in an out of traffic with a dog on Main Street. Officers arrived to the scene to find the woman using the sidewalk and was in no need of assistance.
At 10:29 p.m., an 18-year-old Asharoken man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Lewis Road.
At 11:34 p.m., police received a report that an unknown person wearing a hooded sweatshirt was looking into a girl’s bedroom window on Church Street. Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone or see any signs of tampering.
